Roots + Wings

Whether it’s peace and ease you long for, or passion and adventure, or anything in between – we could all use a bit more of feeling grounded and centered.

A lot of conversations I am having with various people lately is also around having more of a magical flare in their lives, trusting in the higher intelligence, and feeling more connected to the cosmic energy.

So, two days ago, after many musings on it all, I felt very called to do a workshop circle for soul sisters to open us up and support us to be centered and grounded AND ethereal and magical!

✬ Grounding, and the similar concept of centering, is about accessing the Center – your center that is expansive, and includes your body as well as your mind, heart, and spirit.

✬  You are not just a body, and neither are you just a spirit in a body.⁣

You are that which makes  up both spirit and body, that which makes up everything in form.⁣

And, you are also no-form.⁣

You could search all of your life for an external key to a higher you, a better version of you.⁣

And not fully love or express who you are because you are waiting for that other version of  you.

✬  What you really are appears in a multitude of ways.⁣ Love your body because it is You.⁣ Love your spirit because it is You.⁣ Love your All-ness. ⁣

✬  Most of our stress and anxiety comes from a disconnection from our bodies – the more rooted we are in our body, the less stress and anxiety we experience.  Grounding techniques help us to redistribute the energy from our head or mind into our body.

✬  And, feeling a part of something bigger, feeling and being in great mystery, helps us dance in the storm, in the unknown, in the ambiguity.

✬  Believing we can understand the reality of infinity, that we possess knowledge of life’s ultimate meaning, will take all the magic from life.

✬  We miss out on the incredible depth and wonder of life when we don’t let ourselves have wings; when we stop the flow of being curious, in awe, in marvel, rigidly accepting the old patriarchy’s stories of “truth” over our intuitive connection with the unknowable immensity and mysteries of life.

 My invitation is to meet my own self, and you, in the sweet space of of the earth and of the stars, of the earth and of the sun and moon, the infinite space of the center. Opening the closed fists of dogmas into an outstretched hand, with fully open hearts, elastic minds, and awareness of who we are, here and in the now.

Rising through wonderment, gentleness, grace; to be both wild and graceful, untethered. Just imagine how wondrous this life birthed from mysterious depths and rooted in balance would be!
